Lambiel interview (pirouette July 09)

Some translated parts of the Stéphane Lambiel interview from the pirouette magazine:

“After I retired in October 2008 I decided to take a break of 6 weeks, mainly to recover from my adductors injury. After this time I wanted to know if I am able to skate again and it was very hard. The doctors told me that this injury is long term and the pain may always be there. I went back to Ice on December 2008 to several shows like “Art on Ice” and enjoyed that. The shows gave me new energy and I can enjoy skating there much more than in competition, when you’re mainly focused on the elements.”

Stéphane further said that his Tango show program actually was supposed to be a competitive routine and his favourite program of all time is his “Romeo and Juliet”.
